This Multi-Award-Winning band is one of the hardest-working bands out there, playing over 250 events a year! Cory Luetjen is a businessman and a well-versed singer-songwriter and guitarist.
Cory is a well-versed singer-songwriter and guitarist. Picking up the guitar when he was 15 years old, he got a late start at it. However, by cutting his teeth at local Piedmont, North Carolina area blues jams, he quickly gained a vast knowledge of the blues. While in his early & mid-20s 20’s, he toured nationally with some country acts, gaining valuable experience in that genre as well. Rounding out his talents on guitar are his ripping slide guitar licks. His exposure to beach music was something that happened while he was a radio DJ at a local station. He is the singer, front man, & songwriter of the Traveling Blues Band.
Jonathan found his love of music starting in 5th grade and knew starting middle school that he wanted to play saxophone. No one else in his family had been musically inclined. He continued learning, practicing, and playing at every opportunity all through high school, winning several awards in his journey. Jonathan has performed with many top 40 and beach bands on a professional level for all occasions. He is an endorsed artist with REMIC Microphones. Cory and Jonathan met at an open jam one night several years ago. Jonathan had been looking for a band home and found it in Cory Luetjen and The Traveling Blues Band.
Plucked out of West “By God” Virginia and ran out of gas in the Carolinas to call it home! Toured internationally in the 80s throughout Russia, Romania, and Austria with a jazz ensemble before settling into classic rock and before seeing the light and playing Blues with Cory Leutjen and the TBB!! Influences throughout the years range from Buddy Rich to Alex Van Halen and of course Animal of the muppets!! Loves the rush of adrenaline that a great show brings, all while keeping the beat and rhythm together!!
Bass player for life!! Originally hailing from Michigan turned southerner in NC. He has been a musician for most of his life, and enjoys all genres of music matters not, it’s in the soul. Musical influences John Entwistle of the Who, John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin and so many more.

I hired Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band for an event that I was on the board of “40 under 40.” It was important for the first half of the event for there to be a lower volume atmosphere type music so people could mingle. For the second half of the event we wanted a band that would get the crowd on the dance floor and wow did these guys deliver. These guys loaded in and out with no hassle and they “looked the part” of a professional band. It was important for us to have entertainment that could handle different dynamics and appeal to a large crowd. Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band is the right band to fit that bill. I would recommend them for any private or corporate event.
